“Thank you to all those who helped to make TEDxCambridgeUniversity 2015 such an incredible experience for all involved. It has been a pleasure reading through your feedback and hearing the excitement that is already in the air for next year.” Sophie Buck and Leo Sands, Event Organisers
TEDxCambridgeUniversity 2015 was an independently organised TED event in the heart of Cambridge University held on Saturday 14th March 2015. The theme was “By Other Means” which explored every day applications that could make a difference.
Speakers included Dame Barbara Stockton who spoke of her work at Oxfam, as well as University of Cambridge researchers, lecturers, professors ands students. The day was full of inspiration and exploration. The first video that was posted in June 2015 already has over 100,000 views.
A team of student organisers from the University of Cambridge asked us to help film and photograph the event. We saw this as the perfect opportunity to bring along students from the Cambridge School of Art from Anglia Ruskin University to give them some hands on experience and industry credits. It was the first collaboration of its kind between the two universities and is set to continue for many more generations of students.
Our crew staged and lit the event, filmed on 5 cameras including steadicam shots, recorded and mixed the audio during the event, directed speakers with regards to filming as well as taking behind the scenes and live event photographs.
